Matt began his career in insurance in 2001 and has built a diverse and successful journey through underwriting, claims, and broking roles both in New Zealand and overseas. He joined GSI in 2018, and enjoys working closely with clients to understand their unique risks and develop customised insurance solutions.

Commercial broker Decklyn has worked across a range of property and professional risk portfolios. His specialist expertise includes professional indemnity and commercial property insurance, with a focus on providing tailored solutions for each client's specific needs. Decklyn’s in-depth approach ensures his clients have the right cover in place, while also exploring opportunities to reduce their annual costs.

Trish supports our clients and the wider Commercial team with everything from new policies to claims, renewals and ongoing assistance. She’s passionate about finding the most effective solutions for them, and enjoys being able to get to know the people she works with. Prior to joining GSI, Trish worked in Weathertight Claims at Auckland City Council for nine years.

Simply put, Leanne’s role is to ensure a fast and stress-free claims experience. Having begun her career in customer service, she’s developed her skills as a claims handling expert and has continued to do so since joining our team in 2013. Leanne enjoys building relationships with our clients to make their lives a touch easier, and negotiating with insurers to get them the very best outcome.

Lynley’s role is to provide the best information and cover for our domestic clients. This includes home, contents and motor insurance, but Lynley also handles all of our new domestic policies and renewals. She also brings over 30 years’ experience to our team, and is incredibly proud of being efficient, thorough and considerate whenever she works with our clients.

Sue has a strong end-to-end knowledge of the insurance process, thanks to 20 years of industry experience in general insurance, risk and compliance, and claims. She finds the insurance industry really interesting and believes there’s always something new to learn!
Sue’s efficiency and support behind the scenes free up GSI’s brokers to look for the best products in the market and to really understand what each customer needs. When she’s not supporting GSI clients, Sue’s often found in the garden or enjoying time with family.

With a diverse background spanning telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, and the insurance sector over the past five years, Barbara brings a wealth of experience to the table.
Her focus within the insurance sector has been primarily on claims, where her goal is always to secure positive outcomes for our clients efficiently. Barbara thrives on taking care of all the legwork so that our clients can stay fully engaged in their business endeavours.
Outside of work, you'll find Barbara cherishing moments with her family and friends, tending to her garden, or envisioning the next adventure-filled holiday.
